IRS, Criminal Investigation Division - Special Agent (2004-2025)
As a Senior Analyst (2020-2025), I led and managed several organizational investigative technology projects including Magnet Review (an eDiscovery solution for investigators to review digital evidence), DFNet or Digital Forensics Network (a custom on-prem and Azure-based environment for computer forensic examiners to perform forensic tasks), and TaLON or the Tactical Law Enforcement Operational Network (a custom on-prem and AWS-based environment for investigators to gather open source intelligence and digital evidence).
As a Computer Forensic Examiner (2012-2020), I seized, copied, and secured electronic media in a legally sounds manner; performed forensic examinations of the seized media with various forensic tools including EnCase, FTK Imager, Axiom, Nuix, and Cellebrite; prepared detailed reports of findings which were provided to the case agent and federal prosecutor; testified as an expert witness in federal criminal trials.
As a Case Agent (2004-2012), I investigated and worked with federal prosecutors to prosecute individuals and businesses for criminal violations of the Internal Revenue laws, Bank Secrecy Act, and Money Laundering statutes.
IBM - Technical Sales Consultant (2001-2004)
As a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant, I was responsible for achieving an annual multi-million dollar sales quota as part of a software sales team; duties included software product demonstrations, resolving customer's technical concerns, and identifying customer's current problems and explaining how our software would resolve their problems.
As a Post-Sales Technical Consultant, I provided project management and training services to the client to install, configure, and customize the software and teach the client how to properly use and administer the software; clients ranged from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies including 3M and Unisys.
Contractor/Self-employed - IT Consultant (1999-2001)
As an Independent IT Consultant, I implemented web-based and client-server software applications; client ranted from multi-billion-dollar Oracle to a $100,000 specialty retail store.
Accenture, IT Consultant (1996-1999)
As a Tech and Functional Lead, I led a small software development team that was part of a larger development effort comprised of over 100 consultants that implemented custom billing systems at regional utility companies and global telecoms including AT&T, Xcel Energy, and WE Energies.
As a Program Designer and Developer, I created programming designs for developers and also wrote programs in C++ and COBOL.
